Christmas seems to be a theme for us, because Hotel Blue have asked us to put on a Christmas show in December. AND what a hoot it was!
it was a terrific audience at the show, and as usual, quite a few regular faces came along for yet another dose of Goon-type humour.
We had a great programme of terrific classic Goon Show comedy, which everyone enjoyed with a sumptuous 2-course Christmas menu created by the chef at Hotel Blue.
Everyone was treated to the music and vocals of Mr. Andrew Russell before the show.

The Treasure in the Lake (or, The Treasure Of Loch Lomond)

In this wonderful 1956 episode, Neddy, Grytpype and Moriarty are all trying to cheat Eccles and McGool of the treasure in the lake. McGool gets the treasure and Eccles learns to swim.
The Call of the West
series 9, episode 12, first broadcast 20th January 1959
Hern hern hern, an American-type story with much spitting and hern. There isn’t a lot of plot really, allowing for much American-type mickey-takes. A wonderful example of how spittoon sound effects can save any episodes (And they’re not overused) …and Hern.
